Haere mai and welcome to the Island Bay Toy Library!

The toy library was established in 1993 by a team of volunteers with support from Plunket,  and we moved into the Island Bay Community Centre in September 2016. As of 2024 we are an independent toy library

We are a non-profit incorporated society which provides quality educational toys, games and puzzles for families to borrow (from babies to children up to seven years of age). 

We belong to the Toy Library Federation of New Zealand.  We are run by a small group of dedicated volunteer Toy Librarians and Committee Members.

New members are always welcome and we have a range of membership options available.
